As far as I am aware, Yaradiel's Crown is still being worked on. What I played is what I believe is the first revision of the game and I did have a decent amount of fun with this 3rd person lewd adventure game. It is certainly a bit rough around the edges, but the developer is working on it, and at the end of the day, that is what these early releases are for, to try and iron out the kinks. It has a cool fantasy setting and gameplay that is themed around combat and bondage so that is pretty cool and also pretty damn kinky too.
What’s The Story?
Hey, I wish I could fill you in more on this one as there really is not much in the way of a story right now so hopefully it will be fleshed out. Yaradiel's Crown is set in a place called, Arkadia Island (not to be confused with Arcadia Bay from Life is Strang) and we play the role of an adventurer who is embarking on all kinds of magical and dangerous quests. That is pretty much all I got from the story, there are characters to chat with to get quests from, but I honestly am not sure what the big overarching story of the game is.
Sucked Into The Fantasy!
The gameplay of Yaradiel's Crown has you running around in the 3rd person, talking to characters and getting quests from them. However, the thing that I found interesting is that when you come across enemies, you are sucked into a battle, kind of like the way it happens in something like Final Fantasy VII. You are free to run around and move as much as you like in the battle so these are not turn based RPG style battles. I found that it was quite easy to run behind the enemy and just start attacking, this was a much better strategy than trying to use magic as I had a very hard time doing much damage with the magic! The game certainly needs to be fleshed out more in the gameplay department, but what is here so far is very promising.
Welcome To The Seventh Generation
Visually, Yaradiel's Crown has quite an interesting look about it. It reminds me of early PlayStation 3 era games and that is meant as a compliment as this art style does help it stand out from other lewd games. You start by customizing your character and you can do what you want here, want a big futa, go ahead, want a stunning blonde barbarian, you can do that too. The game has a cool fantasy vibe about it which I liked. The game has some cool domination stuff going on where you have a lust meter and as it fills, the higher the chance of a lewd scene happening are. So far, I have only seen a couple, but I love how hardcore and dominant the characters in the game are with you. I have seen way more lewd scenes in the promo stuff for the game than I have in the actual game, so I am not sure how many XXX scenarios are in the version of the game I played.
Doing The Right Thing
I have played games from this developer before and I like how they always try and communicate with the community. When I was playing Yaradiel's Crown for the first time, it glitched out on me and would not let me progress in one of the earlier battles, I reached out and they got back to me. I like how they have released the game in this early state to try and get feedback from players so that they can fix things and make the game better. It is so easy to get a glitch, freak out and say that the game sucks. When really, these glitches in early releases are normal and us playing an early release is so the developer can find them and fix them. Granted, not all developers do this and some games are “fully released” in a horrific state. However, that is not the impression I am getting here at all, I truly think the developer is trying to make a fun and entertaining game here.
I will be the first to admit that the build of Yaradiel's Crown I played was rough around the edges and needed a lot of work as well as a lot more content. However, I legit think that this has a ton of potential and while I will probably leave it a few updates, I will certainly come back to this later and see how the developer has improved it. If you are into fantasy and love a bit of domination, this is well worth your time checking out.
Pros:
- I like playing as an adventurer

- As of writing, the game is quite buggy and glitchy
- I feel that the game needs fleshed out in pretty much every regard
