Unfortunately, Viva Project is a game that I think the developer has decided to walk away from. This is a real shame as this was a lot of fun, granted it was weird as hell and it was not the lewd VR virtual pet thing I was expecting, but there was something that just kept me wanting to play this. It was like a screwing around simulator where I played with this young woman and I never knew for sure what kind of effect was going to come from the stuff I was doing. There is more than enough to have a few hours of fun with here and while it is a VR game, there is a non-VR mode too. To be honest, the VR aspect added nothing to the experience for me.
Taking Me Back To The 90s
The best way I can think to describe Viva Project is that it is very similar to those virtual pet things that were huge in the 90s and that have kind of made a comeback recently. I wish I could tell you that I had a Tamagotchi, but I had one of the knockoff ones as a kid. Still, that idea of looking after, feeding, playing, and making sure they do not kill themselves is what we have going on here, well apart from the not trying to kill themselves thing, although there was a little bit of a horror element I was not expecting. Anyway, a lewd version of Tamagotchi is the way to think of this.
A Virtual Plaything
The idea here in Viva Project is that we have this cute young woman and we basically have to take care of her. There is no real story here or anything like that, we are in what is like a Mexican setting and this young woman needs our help to pretty much do anything. The game is made with some funky AI and the “gimmick” is that she will react to the things that we do to her and over time this builds up a relationship. There are some hilarious videos on YouTube where people create all these funny videos and storylines with their virtual cute pet. Honestly, there is no big and deep meaning here, you just screw around and see what happens.
Ok, You Can Have A Donut
Viva Project is like some kind of strange social experiment. We have to help our cutie with a bunch of stuff, she may need help getting in the bath, but if we perv on her butt, she may get made. Hey, she wants a photo taken, but she may get mad if you try and take a picture up her skirt. I found that she got the maddest when I refused to give her a donut! Sure she is not too happy about you perving on her, but withholding donuts, that is where she draws the line. You just do random stuff and then see how she will react to it. It sounds super shallow and it kind of is, but there is just something about her reactions that makes you want to keep on playing to see what else you can get her to do.
That Look On Her Face
I was very impressed with the visuals here, Viva Project is a nice and bright game and the girl is on the young side, but I never felt that she was too young looking. She has a very expressive face and eyes and apart from her reactions, this is a good way to know how she is feeling. While there is a little bit of naughty content here, I never came across any XXX content and as far as I know, there is no actual sex in the game, just a few naughty bits here and there. In all, it is a great looking game and I would have been very interested to see if the developer would have taken things in a more XXX direction if they kept on working on this.
I played Viva Project in VR first and then tried the desktop version and I found the desktop version to be better. The VR is just more clunky and I never actually felt like I was “there” so I would advise just playing the desktop version of the game. I had fun with this, granted there is not a lot to do, but offering her and withholding donuts from her was far more intriguing and captivating than I ever thought it could be. It is a bit on the buggy side as I did have a few crashes, but for a few hours, this was a pretty fun time.
Pros:
- The girl is very cute
- I never did this, but I have seen people be able to mod the girl with different outfits
- The whole donut thing really clicked with me for some strange reason
- It is like having your own naughty VR pet
Cons:
- There is pretty much zero story or any kind of plot in the game
- This has been abandoned so what is here is all this will ever be, bugs included
System Requirements
- PC compatible
- Operating systems: Windows 10/8/7/2000/Vista/WinXP
