Tentacles Thrive

Tentacles Thrive caught my attention for it’s beautiful, hand painted artwork and the hot babe central to it, Lilith. The game in itself is part erotic visual novel, part strategy game, and part creature creation simulator.

There’s enough here to keep any gamer interested for hours, but the centerpiece of the game is Lilith, the princess of the Human Kingdom set to unite her kingdom with the monster kingdom. By, “Unite” she doesn’t just mean treaties and war games either, there are 150 erotic images with Lilith and the monsters to make this game even hotter.

Explore the World

A huge part of the game is exploring the world around the human kingdom. When you explore, there’s the chance you will discover a new tentacle species. When you meet a new species, it’s important to bond with them so they know that humans are friends. (Hint: You get to watch a hot sex scene between the new species and Lilith, so exploration becomes more fun!)

Befriending new species of tentacle is extremely important, because there are other creatures in the game who are not so friendly. Luckily, your bonded creatures are willing to do battle for you and the human kingdom.

When you’re not exploring and “bonding” with your tentacle friends, you are often heading off to battle to help right the wrongs of the world. This happens in the form of turn-based combat with your monsters on one side and the enemies on the other.

There’s also monster creation available, and the possibility for Lilith to become pregnant. It’s really worth exploring every option in the game because there are so many things to do and explore, on top of the visual novel itself.

Enjoy the Lore

One of the coolest parts of the game was how deep the visual novel aspects of the game go. There’s a lot of lore to the game, and many individual monsters have their own story line to follow. The level of detail in each story line does vary from monster to monster, but the fact that an adult game even has lore is amazing in itself.

If you love hot scenes but also want to explore a world with a life and a ‘spark’ all of its own, Tentacles Thrive is chalk full of story to enjoy.

Beautiful Artwork

The artwork itself is just as well developed as the story line. It has a hand drawn appearance, and has plenty of fine details in every image. Lilith herself is gorgeous of course, but even the monsters have a certain charm to them. The same quality is present all through the game.

This beautiful, almost loving artwork is way better than what is usually offered in tentacle games. Tentacle Locker, for example, has much rougher artwork. If artwork is an important part of your gaming experience, this is truly a great choice.

Constantly Updated

The developer of this game really seems to care about the game itself and it’s progress. Every few months a new update roles out, with more options and bug fixes. With so many updates out already, it’s clear this won’t be one of those games abandoned half way through completion.

At this time, Tentacles Thrive is already decent. It has a lot of great features, game play is super smooth, and let’s not forget just how many scenes with Lilith and the monsters there are. Just recently, more exploration was added with tons of new places to visit and explore.

Watch Videos First

Every game has its downside, but luckily Tentacle Thrive’s issues are pretty mild. The biggest complaint others have had about the game is that the game more or less heaves you into the story without any kind of explanation. This can be especially problematic for combat, since there isn’t a great tutorial in place for how the fight system works yet.

The developer seems really invested in the game and community though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if very soon these problems are resolved.

Fortunately, other people seem to have struggled with game play as well and there are a few videos out there showcasing the game and giving players a chance to see what combat should look like. You can use these to get a feel for the game if just jumping in seems a bit too hard.
