Games are a great way to travel the world. In Legend of Queen Opala, you can explore Egypt and everything it has to offer. You play Jake, a man who has heard rumors about the beauty of Opala. You have traveled all the way to Egypt so you can witness this beauty for yourself.

There, you meet not only Opala, but her sister and mother as well. You’ll have to choose between these three sexy ladies as you make your way through their quests.

Classic Japanese RPG

Those familiar with classic Japanese RPGs will be very comfortable with this game. Most of the story is told through pixel-based artwork and a top down view of the game. The sprites are well drawn, with a decent level of detail for everyone, and the sets are ordinary but adequate.

If the sets feel really familiar to you too, it’s probably because this game is made with RPG Maker. Many of the assets used in the game are free to use, so you’ve likely seen these same assets quite frequently. While there’s nothing wrong with free assets, there may have been better choices for these games, also free, that fit the Egyptian vibe a little better.

Although the art may be a bit rehashed for the backgrounds, the good news is there’s quite a bit of world to explore. The player can visit the city itself as well as the palace, palace gardens, and dungeon.

5 Different Endings

Your choices matter as you progress through the game. There are five unique endings to the game, and two of them are bad. You’ll have to play a little differently each time to discover all the different endings. I personally love games with multiple endings because it means I can play through the game again and again without it feeling like the same old thing.

Lots of Quests Available

While hot scenes are the number one reason to play this game, there’s a lot of story and other things to do as well. Legend of Queen Opala has almost a dozen side quests, as well as the main quest itself. These side quests can also offer perks to the game, such as collecting some of the treasures in the game or helping you get closer to an important character.

Exploring the game not only reveals treasures, it can also reward you with a lewd image. These images are done in a variety of different artistic styles, both Western and Eastern. These lewd images are all different styles, with some sexy and some less so.

Unfortunate Bugs

While the game has an adequate amount of story and quests to it, some bugs make the game somewhat annoying to play. The most annoying bug is that sometimes h-scenes will display appropriately, and sometimes you’ll only get sound and a black screen.

While there aren’t too many other bugs, this one can infuriate you, especially if you’ve worked hard to get to that scene! Unfortunately, there’s no known fix for it right now.

Lots of Grinding

The other issue with the game is that almost everything requires an insane amount of grinding to complete. It’s not too hard to keep up until the third act, but then suddenly everything gets a lot more difficult. It can feel like hitting a brick wall if you haven’t been steadily grinding from the very beginning.

The combat is already standard RPG Maker style gaming that’s relatively forgettable, but having to continuously do it to skill up enough for a boss fight can be incredibly frustrating. While it’s doable, you may find by the time you get to the end of one ending, you don’t have any desire to go back for the different endings.

Part of a Series

If you play this game and discover that you do like it, Legend of Queen Opala is just the first in a series. The game is fairly popular, and resulted in several more added to the series because of it. Legend of Queen Opala: Origin is the latest for example, and focuses a lot more on the steamier side of the game. If you were hoping for more lewdness and fewer questies, you may find the newest one a bit more appealing.

Legend of Queen Opala is an adult game with a solid mixture of game play, story, and adult scenes. The game could really be improved with a bit more polish and choosing a single artist (or at most two) instead of a huge variety of different artists.
